COMPONENTS
The PESTIGATOR contains all of the components
necessary to automatically treat your yard. It was designed to meet all national and local irrigation and
plumbing codes. Everything is condensed in a 16 X 24 X 24 inch package that will fit inside a cabinet or under a composite
landscape stone. The system is designed to meet local and national codes, including built-in backflow prevention.
OPERATION
Simply use an available program such as program B on your sprinkler
controller to accomodate the Pestigator. Set the controller to provide a irrigation agenda for 1 or 2 minutes
per zone in the evening hours between 4 and 8 PM. Your sprinkler system normally provides full coverage throughout
your yard with assorted zones or stations. Your controller will allow you to do designated areas or those that you
desire to activate for insect control agendas.
The Pestigator is
shipped complete and ready to install. Just remove it from the crate and proceed. The Pestigtor is equipped with a
battery operated timer that creates a window of opportunity for the water stream being delivered to the sprinkler
heads. The two solonoid valves are programmed to open for four hour intervals. Valve A will be open
from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM allowing the water to bypass the Pestigator and go directly to the sprinkler heads. Valve B
will be open from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, diverting the water to the Pestigator. Designate your insect control between
those times, or in the alternative, the timer can be adjusted to fit the schedule you choose.
The Pestigator will clear your yard of Mosquitoes, Fleas, Fire Ants, Flies, Gnats,
No-See-Ums, Grubs, Aphids, Venomous Snakes, and more. At the time that complete control over the insects is
achieved, you can then adjust the injectors dilution ratio (adjustable from 1500 to 4000 to 1) to a maintainance
level desired. Your Sprinkler System Controller can be programed to a insect control agenda of daily to weekly, depending
on the insect population and your preference.
INSTALLATION
The Pestigator System can be installed at the beginning of your irrigation
system or anywhere before the first zone valve. It can be positioned directly at the incoming water source
supplying your irrigation system, or located anywhere you desire by simply directing the water flow pipe to
the desired location, attaching the Pestigator, and then returning to the existing water line for attachment. One
trench is all that is necessary to contain the diversion piping.
Installation
requires severing the water feed line and connecting it to the IN pipe of the Pestigator unit. The OUT pipe
of the Pestigator will then be attached to the continuing water flow pipe. You or your local plumber, handyman
or irrigation specialist can install the Pestigator easily in approximetely a hour. There are only two pipe connections
to make. We provide installation drawings and instructions and can assist your installer quickly by email
or phone if they should need assistence.
COST
The PESTIGATOR generally costs at least 1/3 less
than comparable pest control systems such as misting systems. The system was designed and tested to give you
a lifetime of trouble free service. If you are currently treating for mosquitoes, termites, fire ants, cockroaches,
or other insects you will find that operational cost of the Pestigator is minimal. Yet the results provide
the ultimate in insect control.
